Funding and
Support
The JDP is in a funding crisis. After producing award-winning volumes and enabling an award-winning biography of John Dickinson, the JDP was denied funding by the federal government. During the Biden Administration, academic panels of individuals on the far-left did not want to fund another project devoted to an elite, white man. One panelist wrote, "To what extent is another print edition of a founding writer/father needed?" But John Dickinson is like no other founder.
We have secured enough private funds to retain a skeleton crew to finish Volume Five (1770-Aug. 1774), but without further assistance, the project will cease there, without publishing many of the key documents related to America's Semiquincentennial. We implore all who care about America's Founding history to please donate to allow us to continue our important work. Please contact Dr. Calvert at the address below for more information.
